Why Spire? Our Brand story.

I think we’re all familiar with the classic Franklin D. Roosevelt quote,

“Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.” 

Yes? Now, we don’t want to be all “cliché” but we believe in this idea.  Like – we REALLY believe in this idea. We’ve been buying Real Estate for 15 years, in AMAZING and TERRIBLE markets in Alberta, and we still believe in the idea.

A Spire is created when a mix of granite and sedimentary rock is eroded over time.  The sedimentary rock can’t withstand time and erosion it withers away to dust.  But that granite…ohhhhh the granite…it can withstand time.  As as the sedimentary rock around it dissipates to nothing, a strong, independent “SPIRE” is left.

What sets us apart?

We’re often asked what set’s us apart from other Mortgage Teams.  With thousands of Mortgage Brokers across Canada, really, why would you choose to work with us?  We’ve thought long and hard about how to respond to this question, and below you’ll find our answers. 

Here is the key point, we’ve got a lot of skin in the game.  I mean, A LOT.  We’re collectively paying 26 mortgages ourselves.  So, you know what we care about?  Mortgages rates.  Mortgage rules.  Mortgage rate trends, early renewal opportunities, new mortgage products.  Working with brokers that are personally affected by the changes in the mortgage and lending industry is ultra-important because they are going to have the inside scoop on everything you should consider during the life of your mortgage.  If there is an opportunity to switch lenders for a new product or a lower rate, we’ll know, because we’ll be after it ourselves! 

You can expect that there will be no “set it and forget it” with us – we’ll be in contact to keep you abreast of further opportunities. 

Given the difficulty that we’ve experienced sitting on the client’s side of the table over the years, we have a particular appreciation for client-focused service.  We know what it feels like to come to the table with a pile of documents, whether you’re a small business owner, commissioned salesperson or salaried employee. 

We’ve Been There. 

It’s hard, it’s confusing and it’s frustrating.  Our goal is to help navigate that process with you and take the stress, confusion and frustration right out of the equation. 

We recognize that not all mortgages or clients fit in one particular box.  Our unmatched ability to solve mortgage problems has brought clients and referral partners back to us time and time again. 

We have access to over 200 lenders from AAA to Alternative to Private lenders, so we are truly equipped to offer a solution in almost EVERY circumstance. 

Lastly, there is no making an appointment or leaving a message here.  We are available, on our personal cell phones, on the weekends, in the evening and through the holidays. 

We know Real Estate doesn’t happen 9 to 5 – so we don’t expect it!
